Progress

This week was excellent! I stayed on target all but one of the days. Changing the availability of coffee beverages has really helped decrease the amount off mistakes. I am also drinking less cups of tea a day (about two on average). I think maybe next week I might decrease the amount off caffeine that is actually in my tea. I started getting caffeine headaches but the vanished over the course of the week.

And the trend is catching on at work. Some of the other managers are starting to drink one or two cups of coffee in the morning and tea rest of the day. I am also finding that I have more cash during the week because I am not spending four dollars a day at some coffee shop.

I hope next week will be just as pleasant!

  1. This is a great plan to get of caffeine addiction in that you've been using tea as the alternative. Two cups of coffee per day is definitely an improvement; Hopefully this continues to work out for you.

  2. Hey Rachele!
It looks like so far the tea is woking out for you and good job on not drinking coffee. Compared to when we first started the behavior change program and to now, MUCH BETTER! I do think it's a great idea to lower the caffeine in your tea and you might want to try different types of tea that taste good and maybe you won't need caffeine at all. Overall, great job and keep up the good work!

  3. Hi Rachel, Great job on cutting back on the coffee. I know how tough that can be. I come from a family who drinks coffee all day and into the evening. But, because of medical reasons, I was forced to give it up. It was hard. However, I found that once I quit, I slept at night much better, and now, when I do have my coffee in the morning, I enjoy it so much more. Great job! Lisa

  4. I would save so much money if I stopped getting my cafe-mochas at Starbucks! So you are really gaining two different benefits. You are slowly weaning yourself from caffeine AND saving money- how awesome! Good luck this next week!
